Nitin Sawhney
Nitin Sawhney is a composer, singer, songwriter, producer and re-mixer.In the year 2000 he received The South Bank Show Award For Popular Music. Nitin is an "Asian Modernist". His musical vocabulary draws on Asian traditional & contemporary sounds, flamenco guitar & Latin rhythms, drum and bass, tabla juxtaposed with techno bass and a rich array of varied and original voices. His music is a kind of world-music fusion .
Fragile Wind and Heer are from his new album Human. Immigrant is from his magnificent album Beyond Skin, which deals with the central issue of the exchange of values and ideas between East and West.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, internationally recognized for his mastery of a form of Urdu music known as Qawwali, began to embrace nontraditional elements in his music since 1990, and collaborated with world famous musicians such as Peter Gabriel, Michael Brook and Massive Attak. Qawwali is the vocal expression of Sufism, the mystical sect of Islam that embraces music as a means of becoming one with the Divine. Khan was first brought before the public by Peter Gabriel's WOMAD Foundation ( World of Music, Art and Dance ) in 1984. Khan stirred audience into rapture with the intensity of his singing, and has gained a large following around the world.
Mustt Mustt (Lost In His Work) was remixed by Massive Attack, and Intoxicated by Michael Brook. Sadly, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan passed away in August of 1997.
